The 2014/15 snowboarding season is finally upon us! Many resorts in North America and Europe are now open for business, with many of them having opened ahead of schedule due to good early season snowfall.
Even in France, where they’re notorious for sticking to planned opening dates regardless of snow conditions, resorts are starting to cave in to pressure to open early. This weekend Courchevel, Alpe d’Huez, Montgenevre and La Clusaz all opened early, joining high altitude resorts Val Thorens and Tignes, which opened as planned.
But it’s not all about the mountains. Back in the UK, a 75 year old granny is showing the kids at her local snow dome how it’s done, having just taken up snowboarding in April! It just goes to show that it’s never to late to learn. Go Norma!
See her in action here…!
