While it will be sad to see clothing brands Special Blend and Foursquare disappear, the most devastating prospect is the demise of Forum Snowboards.
Forum has had a major presence in the industry since its conception in 1996 and will be greatly missed by its many fans. The brand was founded by legendary pro snowboarder, Peter Line, who assembled a team of talented riders, including JP Walker, Jeremy Jones and Devun Walsh, to make the first ever team video, The Resistance. The film started the trend for other brands to produce such videos, and arguably changed the industry forever.
Today’s Forum team includes Pat Moore, Nick Sauve, Andreas Wiig, and until recently, John Jackson, who wisely jumped ship to Burton. We’re quite sure the riders will be snapped up by other brands, and just hope that the same will be said for all the other people behind the scenes who made Forum awesome.
